Hi, we’re Evan and Sarah, the husband-and-wife duo behind Slinger Construction. We’ve been married for 10 years and are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children who keep us on our toes with their sports and activities. But when it comes to our business, we believe that building and renovating homes is more than just a job – it’s a family affair, and we put our hearts into every project we take on.

In the fall of 2018, we made the decision to step away from the corporate world and take the plunge into entrepreneurship. We founded Slinger Construction with a shared dream of combining our skills, experience, and passions to create something that would not only serve our community but also allow us to work together as a family.

Evan Slinger

Co-Founder & General Contractor

Evan is a craftsman and professional who really cares. Evan’s journey into construction began in Guelph at a young age, learning valuable skills from his father, an electrical and small engine repair enthusiast, and his grandfather, an aircraft mechanic and furniture maker. Evan’s passion for home renovation truly took flight when he bought his first home at just 19 years old. This allowed Evan to gain hands-on experience through various renovations on several of his own homes and those of friends and family. Evan’s care and attention to detail are at the heart of every project he oversees.

After earning a Business degree and working for 10 years in digital marketing and project management, Evan leveraged his skills to pursue his true passion: building. His commitment to quality, integrity, and client satisfaction has been the driving force behind the growth of Slinger Construction. Over the last 6 years, Evan has completed over 200 renovation projects in Wellington County and surrounding area.

Sarah Slinger

Co-Founder & Project Manager

Sarah’s upbringing on a large farm in Mount Forest, Ontario instilled a strong work ethic, and her journey has been one of determination and growth. With over 20 years of experience in professional services, Sarah brings a unique blend of organizational skills, creative vision, and a love for fashion and interior design to the company. In 2019, she helped design their family home in Fergus. Sarah’s passion for the construction and design is what makes her the perfect partner to work alongside Evan as they turn dreams into reality for their clients.
